Well it seems that Tumblr made some changes to their API. When you send an authentication request to Tumblr and it’s successful it will return back with XML that contains the users info. But when it fails it returns back text. This bugged me when I first ran into it about 7 months ago… At that… No offense but to fix that is to validate the xml response and not just do a bad string...
