¿¿¿¿¿ ART ????
This is horrible and proves people do not really know what is art and its meaning. I come from an very artistic family (yes, I’m the only engineer, all the rest of the family and that’s currently 10 alive members are architects and we have a well known name back at home) and I DO understand art.
Most people believe that a piece of art has to evoke some kind of emotion, either hate, pain, love etc… and I completely agree, but doing it at all cost like the above “artist” did. The above piece of “art” is a complet misunderstanding of the concept of art and even more of conceptual art.
I have always though about art as I think about philosophy, I considerate both of them great disciplines that can just be done by very few selected people.Let me give an example about philosophy, that I’ll later use with art. Philosophy as, we all know, is the very first original science; A philosopher was this king of privileged skull that held a great mind made for reasoning. Everyone in the ancient Greece would have love to be one, they were like the rock starts of those years, they were rich, could do anything they wanted, they could have any woman (and man) etc… but why not everyone was one? Simple, a philosopher is not the kind of persons that wonders why a volcano erupts,NO!!!!! that is an obvious thing, any one would wonder why a huge mountain explodes, but just a few of us think about what are we breathing? is the river always the same river? can I trust what I see??? Those are complicated questions that do not come to any mind, just to a (lucky) selected bunch of people.
With art, the same thing happens, you have to impress, but not anyway, I can easily impress someone killing a dog in front of them, that is not a mystery. Anyone would be impress (of course not the person who killed it, that’s the problem). The difficult thing in art is to make the people fill like if you killed the dog but without killing it. If you are an artist you can do it.
There are no good or bad artists, there are artists and people that say they are artist, the guy from the above video is a guy who says he is an artist….
If you ask me, I’m an astronaut, but everyone knows I’m not, I’m just an average computer scientist…. keep this people out of the museums, they don’t worth it, they don’t worth us…
