Sometimes you do not have to be the first person to do something, you simply have to do it better. Or at least this premise works in the internet. It might not work always, but it certainly holds a big number of times.
During “this weekend” (or I discovered this weekend) a new Twitte alike service was created. Its name is plurk, although the idea is exactly the same one (mini blog post/blah) its UI is miles better and they have been able to scale to the huge number of new users they have had.
It might not be a Twitter killer (if you have a lot of friends you do not want to change) but it is a serious competitor. The main reasons is that I believe that famous internet celebrities have decided to break Twitter or stretch it to its max or is there an other reason to tell in you podcast you want to get 20.000 followers…
I want to see how this thing ends….
