My eeepc

I’m the proud owner of a eeepc ASUS laptop. I know that some people don’t like netooks, and I do understand their fillings, but I do have to say that is their fault (if they bought one, otherwise, I do not understand why you complain). If you bought a netbook thinking you were buying real computer, let me tell you, you were wrong!!!!

Netbooks are great when you want to have a small computer to connect to the net, write a post, write a small script to make your live easier, chat with friends while watching a movie…. But they do suck as a laptop, keyboards are tiny, as well as the HDs and the screen….

Anyway, back to what I wanted to say, I own an ASUS and some time ago I decided to change the OS to Xubuntu… and all I have to say is that it was an error. Not that Xubuntu is a bad distro but the Xandros is far better on the eeepc. Some of you might know about Xandros, some of you might have no clue, but who cares anyway… and that is the best thing about Linux, if you know how to use a distro, you can use any other!!!!

Anyway, I moved the ASUS to Xandros and I love how well the hardware is working, how I have no problems with the UI and how it looks on the tiny screen :)

My summary is if you are going to buy a netbook you should know hat you are getting into, if you did buy an ASUS with Linux, do not change the OS, just trust me…
