Plugs

nostrich:

Help me out here, guys. What’s the cheapest way to make all the plugs for my shitty British electronics work in your funny American holes? I’ve got two adapters already, but they’re big, chunky things, and cost $10 each; I figure I’d need at least 6 to be able to power all my stuff, which would cost another $40.

Is there a cheaper and better way to do this? I don’t like having clunky adapters lying around (and they block adjacent outlets because they’re so big).

When I moved to Belgium I had the same problem (and not having a kettle is a big no no). What I did is to by plugs in a DIY store and changed all of them. Of course I had not problem because Europe has the same voltage, which is something that does not happen in the USA. It might be the case that you can find plug you can use that have a fuse, but I doubt you will find them….
